A B tier scrapper could potentially get MVP over S+ tier classes if it is played well and the player knows the mechanics etc. The animations are smooth, most can be dash canceled which makes it easy to dodge. The 60% shield from transformation (and the 50% shield from fiery escape) is VERY nice everywhere there is chip damage or dots. The general squishyness of the class makes him binary tho: you are either full life and shielded or dead.The Space Bar is faster, the skill animations arent nearly as clunky. An important thing to remember is that gunlancer scales extremely well with engravings, especially blue lancer - since your shield is basically always up (if you have specialization & time your shout right) a lot of the negatives to engravings are basically negligible. Another desired class is Gunlancer because is a good dps, tanky af, and can shield+dispell debuff the party which is the most support oriented from dps classes. Anything you pick you will be able to play any content the game offers. No one is going to reject you in a party just because of your class. Pal can be played like a DPS class that also happens to support their allies without any input from the player whatsoever (well almost, you still want to aim Godsent Law under your friends' feet but that's more of an advanced tip). On the other hand, bard is designed to support their allies but needs ... It was an OP class where both dealers and supporters were possible, but it was nerfed 4 times in a row. Despite this, it is still very popular in endgame. Lost Ark's endgame is full of death. Therefore, the Gunlancer with the highest survivability (defense + stamina) is a very popular class in the party. .
